Sharing your mobile data connection via USB Tethering for Windows 7 or Ubuntu
If you are using Windows 7 or ubuntu, you don’t need any setting done at computer end. Just follow given step to configure your usb tethering at you mobile end.
Step 1: Connect your USB cable to computer that comes with your smartphone.
Step 2: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Tethering & Portable Hotspot.
Step 3: Check USB Tethering, this will automatically starts sharing your Smartphone data connection with your computer and you will be receive a notification on your bottom left corner of the computer.
Sharing your mobile data connection via USB Tethering for Windows Xp.
If you are using windows Xp then you need to install a configuration file from http://android.com/drivers/tetherxp.inf/ and save on your computer. And follow the given instruction.
Step 1: Connect your USB cable to computer.
Step 2: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Tethering & Portable Hotspot and check the given Option.
Step 3: A notification will comes at your computer bottom right corner. Click on that notification.
Step 4: A windows Xp’s New Hardware Wizard opens -> Select no, not at this time and click next.
Step 5: Select install from a list of specified location and click next.
Step 6: Now click browse and select your earlier saved file and click next. Windows Xp automatically configures and installs the software for Android USB Ethernet/RNDIS and click finish.
Sharing your mobile data connection via Bluetooth
Step 1: Clicks enable your Bluetooth on your laptop/computers.
Step 2: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Bluetooth Settings -> turn on Bluetooth and make your device discoverable.
Step 3: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Tethering & Portable Hotspot and check Bluetooth tethering.
Sharing your mobile data connection via Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
Step 1: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Wi-Fi Settings -> turn on wi-fiand make your device discoverable.
Step 2: Select settings -> Wireless & Networks – >Tethering & Portable Hotspot and check Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Step 3: Make sure your laptop/computer wireless is turn on. Now to go set up new connection.
Step 4: Add a wireless device this will take up to 90 sec. A list will come available wireless access point -> choose your device and click connect.
To stop sharing mobile data connection via above mentioned methods, just go to settings -> Wireless & Networks and unchecked your selected method.
